So long, Blogspot. Hello, Wordpress!

I've been wanting to move my blog away from Blogspot for a while but could never be bothered to actually do it. This week was the tipping point though, and I've now fully migrated over to  https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ . The blogspot address will remain here but all new posts will only appear at  https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ .  There are lots of reasons for the move but my biggest one is how hard Blogger has made it for people to subscribe to receive new posts via email. It's such a basic requirement but apparently, they think it's too much to offer.  I'm basing this purely on how I myself prefer to consume this stuff. I can't be arsed with feed readers anymore and emails are easy and convenient. When I receive one, if I fancy reading it, I will click through to it and, if not, I'll just delete it. Another reason is the spat between Google (owners of Blogger) and Instagram/Facebook/Meta. I don't even know if this is still the case anymore ...

{knitting} Spring beret

Today we'll continue with the disinterring of project photos I'd forgotten about... :) This here be my second  Spring Beret , modelled - and made for - my gorgeous girl! Continuemos então desenterrando as fotos das quais eu havia me esquecido...

Hello, again! Happy new year and all that! So, guess what I've learned so far this year? It's a hell of a lot harder than I expected to get back into your old routine after 3 weeks on holiday. Who'da thunk it?! And I haven't even started going through the photos we took of stuff I made to take with me... The good news is that I found these in my laptop that I'd forgotten about. So I'll post them and, in the meantime, I can go through all the new photos and edit them.

{sewing} Mathilde blouse

Today I'll share my  Mathilde blouse  by Tilly and the Buttons. I finished it in the summer but promptly forgot all about it - yes, I know how bad that sounds. In my defence, the cotton I used for it and the long-ish sleeves meant I didn't have many opportunities to wear it up until the colder weather arrived. Hoje vou mostrar minha  blusa Mathilde  da Tilly and the Buttons.

{knitting} FO: Chalet Cardigan

This post was supposed to have gone up on Monday but I was too busy attending THE BEST CONCERT EVER on Sunday night and everything got a bit held up... In case you don't know or were wondering, we went to see Mumford & Sons and I'm still buzzing today! It was bloody amazing! And now I'll stop talking about it because it only makes me want to go back in time and see them again.

{sewing} FINISHED: My second Wren

Yes, I made another. Not surprising, seeing as I loved the first one so much. Only, this time around I chose to go with the elbow length sleeves and gathered skirt. I had enough fabric and wanted to try something different. However, as you can see, the sewing gods had other plans for me...

{knitting} WIP: A return to sock knitting

The other day I started thinking about the last socks I made. Not counting a quick, simple pair I made for Nina in January, the last pair of socks I made for me were about 18 months ago!!! I was shocked! I can't believe it's been so long. So I thought it was time to fix that and cast on a new pair.

{sewing} The Wren dress by Colette

Today I give you... The Wren Dress by Colette patterns . The Colette website describes it as a "surplice" dress, which I understand to be a reference to the cross over at the front, kind of like a mock wrap. You can opt for sleeveless or floaty sleeves and a gathered or a panelled, fitted skirt. At the time of its release, Colette had a special offer on which gave you the optional long sleeve download for free. I took advantage of that since I wanted to make something suitable for winter.
