So long, Blogspot. Hello, Wordpress!

I've been wanting to move my blog away from Blogspot for a while but could never be bothered to actually do it. This week was the tipping point though, and I've now fully migrated over to  https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ . The blogspot address will remain here but all new posts will only appear at  https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ .  There are lots of reasons for the move but my biggest one is how hard Blogger has made it for people to subscribe to receive new posts via email. It's such a basic requirement but apparently, they think it's too much to offer.  I'm basing this purely on how I myself prefer to consume this stuff. I can't be arsed with feed readers anymore and emails are easy and convenient. When I receive one, if I fancy reading it, I will click through to it and, if not, I'll just delete it. Another reason is the spat between Google (owners of Blogger) and Instagram/Facebook/Meta. I don't even know if this is still the case anymore ...

{knitting} My Vianne Cardigan gets a debut in Siena!

I'm back again and today I have some knitting to show. More specifically, my  Vianne cardigan . I have to admit that the knitting was finished in September last year but it stayed buttonless until last month. Oops! I originally intended for this to be part of last year's OAL2015 (Outfit ALong), hosted by  Lauren  and  Andi Satterlund , but I went away a lot over the summer and it didn't pan out. Better late than never I guess and here she is now!

{on the needles} WIP: Flanders Bay jumper

As I've mentioned before, I had the anchor band finished about 2 weeks ago. But when I tried it round my waist it was so stretched that it looked terrible. So I unpicked all 19 rows and re-knitted it on a bigger needle. Oh, the difference! Flanders Bay Jumper I am enjoying this a lot, despite having had to unpick it once already. It's the first time I've used this yarn - more about it on the FO post though. The fabric I'm getting is lush and there is a slight sheen to it, too. Flanders Bay Jumper The stitching will look a lot more even once I block it but I believe the three colours work extremely well together.

FO: Idlewood

Today I can show off my brand spanking new Idlewood . Hoje eu venho exibir meu novíssimo  Idlewood . Idlewood

FO - Summer Flies

I can't believe I'm actually sticking to this blogging thing. And I'm enjoying it, which is a bonus! Não acredito que estou realmente levando essa coisa de blog a sério. E estou gostando, o que é ainda melhor! Right, today I am going to talk about my Summer Flies shawl . I started it in another life  many months ago, but with my I-don't-feel-like-knitting crisis I only finished it last week. Having a bath

A knitting one!

Well, I like to knit. A lot! However, since the end of June I haven't really done any knitting at all - and that is quite something for me. I don't know why, just haven't felt like it.  Eu adoro tricotar. Muito! Entretanto, desde o final de Junho eu não faço nenhum pontinho - o que pra mim é tempo demais. Não sei por que, não rolou vontade. In the last couple of months though, I have - thankfully - got my knitting mojo back and have lots of projects to finish.  I'm very excited about this one. It is a shawl/scarf that I started earlier this year, around March I believe, and I will be finishing before the end of this week.
