Showing posts with the label spots

So long, Blogspot. Hello, Wordpress!

I've been wanting to move my blog away from Blogspot for a while but could never be bothered to actually do it. This week was the tipping point though, and I've now fully migrated over to  https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ . The blogspot address will remain here but all new posts will only appear at  https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ .  There are lots of reasons for the move but my biggest one is how hard Blogger has made it for people to subscribe to receive new posts via email. It's such a basic requirement but apparently, they think it's too much to offer.  I'm basing this purely on how I myself prefer to consume this stuff. I can't be arsed with feed readers anymore and emails are easy and convenient. When I receive one, if I fancy reading it, I will click through to it and, if not, I'll just delete it. Another reason is the spat between Google (owners of Blogger) and Instagram/Facebook/Meta. I don't even know if this is still the case anymore ...

Yellow is the happiest colour. Fact. Case in point, my  Rosa dress  by Tilly and the Buttons. See?

{sewing} Sewaholic Hollyburn Skirt

Hello again! I know it's been a little while since my last post but life has been getting in the way a bit - in the good sense - so I haven't had a lot of time to take photos and write up posts. Which is why this skirt has been finished for weeks now and I've only just managed to get it posted today.

{sewing} Simplicity 1202 raglan top

Hello again! Scotland was F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C! It was our first caravan trip of this year - the weather has been so crappy! - and the first in our shiny, new, big one. We loved it. Just  before we went, I made this simple top with what I had left from my Susie blouse .

{sewing} The Susie Blouse by Sew Over It

Oh, I've let the posts lapse again... I know, I'm rubbish. But, to be fair, I don't get anywhere near as much sewing time as I'd like. So when I get some free time I'd rather be sewing, not typing up a blog post. Yes, I've said it. I'm not even sorry. ;) Anyway, today I'm showing off my  Sew Over It Susie Blouse .

Spots, butterflies and chocolate balls

So I haven't posted in a few days... Life's been getting in the way but normal service seems to have been resumed now, thankfully! Não posto faz uns dias... Foi a vida me atrapalhando mas agora tudo já se normalizou. As I mentioned before, I am doing this: Como eu já disse outro dia, estou fazendo parte nessa KAL: It was all going incredibly well and I finished the first sock in about 4 days - which is unheard of for me! I had hoped to have the sock finished by last weekend but of course knitting had to get its own back and play a trick on me, didn't it? And it was a good one!!! I finished the full leg of the second sock and as I got ready to start the heel flap, it suddenly dawned on me... The sock's design is bloody mirrored and I had gone and knitted the left leg chart again! What an idiot... Estava tudo indo super bem e eu terminei a primeira meia em apenas 4 dias. Achei que fosse terminar o par no fim de semana mas os deuses do tricô tinham outros p...
