I finally finished my shirt of doom ! Check it out! And even though it was the shirt of doom, it's FULL of mistakes and everything went wrong in the making of it, I'm still happy with it. Finalmente terminei minha camisa ! Olha só! E mesmo estando cheia de erros e ter dado tanta coisa errada durante sua criação, ainda assim estou muito feliz com ela.

The run of bad luck seems to have stopped now. Jolene has been fixed, brought home and even finished the Granville shirt - except for the buttons. Phew! Pelo visto a bruxa não está mais à solta por aqui. A Jolene foi concertada, já voltou pra casa e até terminou minha camisa - faltam só os botões. And I have a new dress to show off! I finished it a few weeks ago but today is the first time I've worn it. It's one of those "secret pyjama" outfits and I really love it. Not to mention that it makes me look way more dressed up than my usual choice. A bonus of sewing my own clothes: what's the point in making scruffy stuff? Melhor ainda, agora tenho um vestido pra mostrar! Terminei faz um tempinho mas só estreei hoje. É um desses pijamas em disfarce e uma delícia de usar. Sem contar que me sinto muito mais arrumada com ele do que minhas opções do dia-a-dia. Uma vantagem de costurar minhas próprias roupas: pra que perder tempo fazendo roupa relaxada?

Remember a few days ago when everything was going wrong in my sewing room ? I thought maybe it was the shirt that was cursed or something and made peace with that. You know, some projects just aren't meant to be finished or easy or both. Plus, a first proper tailored shirt wasn't going to be the easiest thing I ever made, right? Time to move on to knitting. Lembra quando tudo estava dando errado na minha sala de costura? Acabei achando que era a camisa que estava azarada. Tipo, sempre existem aqueles projetos que não foram colocados nesse mundo para serem terminados. E mais: nunca achei que minha primeira camisa fosse ser moleza, né? Hora de pegar o tricô.

Man! Have I had a craptastic couple of weeks so far or what?! HELL YEAH! At first I thought the curse was only limited to the shirt of doom  my Granville shirt but then my knitting was affected as well. E quem mais está achando que a bruxa tá solta nesses últimos dias? Inicialmente pensei que ela estivesse se limitando à minha camisa da desgraça  Granville mas ontem meu tricô também foi afetado... Ok, so let's start at the beginning. I completely and utterly buggered up the collar/collar stand on my Granville shirt. As you can probably spot, the stand hardly extends beyond the collar because I went scissors-bat-shit-crazy on it but only realised it after having ripped it out once. I ain't about to do it again - don't think my relative sanity the fabric can take anymore. Ok, comecemos no começo. Eu acabei com o colarinho da minha camisa. Na foto dá pra ver como ele acaba praticamente com a gola porque surtei com a tesoura na mão. Mas só notei isso depois de já ter desma...

Today I'm going to show off my second  Moneta dress by Colette Patterns! I personally love it. It looks great and it feels like I'm wearing pyjamas while being socially acceptable to wear it outside the house! Hoje eu vou exibir meu segundo vestido  Moneta  da Colette Patterns! Eu adoro esse vestido. Ele é uma graça e tão confortável quanto pijamas, mas sem os olhares tortos que usar pijama na rua instigaria.

Right, so... New Look 6808 . When I finished it, about 4 months ago, I loved it! Really, really loved it. I hadn't done a lot of sewing in general and I was very happy with it. A few months down the line, quite a bit of experience gained and I'm not quite so pleased with it anymore... Então ... New Look 6808 . Quando terminei esse projeto, uns 4 meses atrás, eu adorei! Muito! Ainda não tinha feito muita costura em geral e fiquei bem feliz com esse top. Alguns meses se passaram, mais experiência foi adquirida e não estou mais satisfeita com o resultado ... I chose version E, which has a boat neck with a sailor style collar detail, it's sleeveless and it has a zip on the side to help with pulling it on and off - but I've since decided it can probably manage without it. As you can probably see, this was my first time finishing an armhole with bias tape and I screwed it up because it wasn't meant to be on show. Having said that, I do quite like it, actually. Escolhi...

Yes, I did! I only decided that I'd like to make a dress to wear for the wedding about a month before... I know, very silly. But I did it! And it worked! And I love it! Just look at it! Is this enough exclamation marks? Pois é, resolvi que queria fazer meu próprio vestido só um mês antes do casamento... Eu sei, muito ingênua. Mas eu fiz! E deu certo! E adorei o resultado! E olha como ficou lindo! Será que já deu nas exclamações?
