{sewing} New Look 6808 fail

Right, so... New Look 6808. When I finished it, about 4 months ago, I loved it! Really, really loved it. I hadn't done a lot of sewing in general and I was very happy with it. A few months down the line, quite a bit of experience gained and I'm not quite so pleased with it anymore...
Então ... New Look 6808. Quando terminei esse projeto, uns 4 meses atrás, eu adorei! Muito! Ainda não tinha feito muita costura em geral e fiquei bem feliz com esse top. Alguns meses se passaram, mais experiência foi adquirida e não estou mais satisfeita com o resultado ...

I chose version E, which has a boat neck with a sailor style collar detail, it's sleeveless and it has a zip on the side to help with pulling it on and off - but I've since decided it can probably manage without it. As you can probably see, this was my first time finishing an armhole with bias tape and I screwed it up because it wasn't meant to be on show. Having said that, I do quite like it, actually.
Escolhi a versão E, que tem um decote canoa com um detalhe tipo marinheiro, é sem manga e tem um zíper do lado para ajudar na hora de vestir - mas decidi que provavelmente dá pra ficar sem. Como dá pra ver, esta foi a minha primeira vez usando viés para o acabamento da cava e eu estraguei tudo porque não era para aparecer do lado de fora. No entanto, acabei gostando.

Now let me explain the reasons I don't like it anymore... None of which have anything to do with the pattern. It's more because of my abilities or lack thereof at the time. But let me show you a picture of it first.

Agora, vou explicar as razões pelas quais não gosto mais desse top... Deixando claro que nenhuma delas tem a ver com o molde em si. É mais por causa das minhas habilidades ou a falta delas. Mas deixa eu mostrar uma foto antes.

You can't really tell on the photos but the zip really sticks out when the top is worn. That's another reason why I'd do without it next time - and there will be a next time. Maybe the fabric is too fine - it's a cotton but it's incredibly thin... I also think I should've stabilised the area before installing the zip.

Não dá pra ver direito nas fotos, mas o zíper é muito óbvio. Esse é outro motivo pelo qual eu não usaria zíper na próxima vez. Talvez o tecido seja fino demais - é um algodão, mas é incrívelmente fino... Também desconfio que eu deveria ter colocado uma entretela na costura antes de instalar o zíper.

Another reason for my dislike is the mess I made of the facing. This was my first ever facing around such a rounded curve and it ended in a bit of a disaster. I've learned a lot since then but this one doesn't lay flat, it's full of puckering and it's probably way too thick. 

Outra razão é a meleca que eu fiz no revel. Esta foi minha primeira vez costurando um revel a uma curva tão arredondada. O que resultou em desastre. Aprendi muito desde então, mas este revel não assenta direito, ele está todo enrugado por dentro e é provavelmente grosso demais.

New Look 6808

Reason number 3 is that I now have an overlocker and I didn't when I made this. Yeah, I don't know how I ever sewed anything without an overlocker before. It looks so much tidier!

Justificativa número 3 é que agora tenho uma overlock - o que ainda não tinha quando costurei essa blusa. Não sei como conseguia costurar sem uma overlock! O acabamento fica tão mais limpo e profissional!

The last reason is the way the collar attaches to the neckline and how the two sides of the bow get fed through this really flimsy bit of fabric. I couldn't sew the collar on as far in as I'd like, because both sides sort of overlap in the middle. So there's a bit (tiny as it is) that isn't finished off as it should. I don't think this makes any sense to anybody other than myself or someone who's made this version but that's not important. 

A última razão é a forma como a gola foi costurada ao decote e o acabamento do nó na frente. Não consegui chegar até o final da gola pois os dois lado se sobrepõem no centro, então tem um pedaço - minúsculo mas... - que não consegui anexar como gostaria. Duvido que isso faça sentido para qualquer pessoa além de mim ou alguém que já tenha costurado essa versão, mas não tem importância.

I will definitely try this pattern again. I want to make a long sleeve version and probably extend the length a little bit, too.

Com certeza vou tentar esse molde de novo. Quero uma versão de manga comprida e talvez alongue o comprimento também.
