I've been wanting to move my blog away from Blogspot for a while but could never be bothered to actually do it. This week was the tipping point though, and I've now fully migrated over to https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ . The blogspot address will remain here but all new posts will only appear at https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ . There are lots of reasons for the move but my biggest one is how hard Blogger has made it for people to subscribe to receive new posts via email. It's such a basic requirement but apparently, they think it's too much to offer. I'm basing this purely on how I myself prefer to consume this stuff. I can't be arsed with feed readers anymore and emails are easy and convenient. When I receive one, if I fancy reading it, I will click through to it and, if not, I'll just delete it. Another reason is the spat between Google (owners of Blogger) and Instagram/Facebook/Meta. I don't even know if this is still the case anymore ...
We're back from our - just about - 2 weeks away in the caravan, school is back on and normality may be reinstated soon.
Earlier this week I realised I will not have enough wool to finish the owls jumper I'm working on (of which I don't have pictures, so apologies on that score!). I was not happy. I bought the wool around 18 months ago, while I still worked at baa ram ewe, and there is no way I'll be able to find the same dye lot. Moreover, I'm only about 2 inches off the cast off. Ugh! Knitting is a pain at times! I ordered another ball and I'm hoping for the best. In the meantime, I started something else:
The lighting in my kitchen is showing it as blue. It's a teal in real life.
I am very excited about this project. I've waited such a long time to get it going that I can't wait to finish it now. I started it this morning using Ysolda's Tubular Cast On. Although I followed the Little Red in the City instructions. This is such a clever and effective way to cast on for ribbing! I use it for every jumper I make.
Hopefully I'll be able to post more now that the children are back in school and we're living out of our house as opposed to out of a caravan.

It'll be a Flanders Bay Pullover which is gorgeous and has been on my ravelry queue since it was published. That's another lot of wool I bought a very long time ago and now I'm paranoid that I won't have enough again.
