I have been keeping myself incredibly busy the past few days. Especially yesterday. But I don't have anything to show for it, unfortunately. Well, nothing completely finished, that is. However there are lots of bits of things and 'in-progress' shots. Which is a good thing otherwise this would be a pretty boring post.
So last week was spent doing some of this:
|
Sprucing up a tea towel |
I also found time to catch up on this:
|
Wild Olive Summer Stitching Club 2013 |
And I worked a little on this:
|
Another tea towel make over in progress |
But once these arrived, there was not much else happening around here...
|
New Books! |
Except for this Grapefruit and Olive Oil pound cake. Which sounds slightly weird but as with every recipe I've ever tried from
The Smitten Kitchen, it was lovely. Even Ginner really liked it and he despises grapefruit!

Grapefruit and Olive Oil Pound Cake |
Yesterday was exclusively spent in the sewing room working on curtains for Child #1's bedroom. It's in the back of the house, with a southwest facing window. Which means this heatwave we've been having has been terrible for her room in particular. Add to that a lack of curtains and the fact that any breeze seems to come from the front of the house, means her room is like a Tyrolean sauna. I've only done one side so far: 2.5m wide window plus major cock up don't make for fast sewing. But I will have a post to show it off soon. I'm very proud of my efforts.
I did find I little bit more time to invest on some more stitching though.

A little more 'crafy' squeezed in |
That's it for today. I'll be back soon with something finished.
I've decided to no longer have the posts translated to Portuguese as the amount of hits I get from Brazil are just not worth the time it takes to type it all up. I may change my mind in the future but for now I'll stick with just English.
Resolvi parar de traduzir os posts para o Português pois o número de visitas do Brasil que eu recebo é muito pequeno para o tempo gasto nas traduções. Talvez eu mude de idéia no futuro mas por enquanto vou continuar só em inglês.
