So long, Blogspot. Hello, Wordpress!

I've been wanting to move my blog away from Blogspot for a while but could never be bothered to actually do it. This week was the tipping point though, and I've now fully migrated over to  https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ . The blogspot address will remain here but all new posts will only appear at  https://patsypoomakes.wordpress.com/ .  There are lots of reasons for the move but my biggest one is how hard Blogger has made it for people to subscribe to receive new posts via email. It's such a basic requirement but apparently, they think it's too much to offer.  I'm basing this purely on how I myself prefer to consume this stuff. I can't be arsed with feed readers anymore and emails are easy and convenient. When I receive one, if I fancy reading it, I will click through to it and, if not, I'll just delete it. Another reason is the spat between Google (owners of Blogger) and Instagram/Facebook/Meta. I don't even know if this is still the case anymore ...

{knitting} FO: Skiff by Brooklyn Tweed

Hello, again! And looky what we have here... A finished project and bonus orange beard shots for you to feast your eyes on. Yep, I finished  the hat ! It was a super quick and fun knit. But as you can guess, I had to give it to Ginner.

{knitting} A WIP and a pile of socks

So, on my  last post  I finished by saying I didn't know when I'd be able to show a new finished project because I hurt my hand. Apparently, my brain was off that day because as soon as I published that I realised I have 2 other projects still to show... I think I've forgotten them because I'm not wearing them yet since it's still really cold. Anyway, I still need to sort through the photos so here is a knitting WIP for now.

{knitting} Stricken Socks by Cookie A

All the way back in November I wrote  this post  about a sock I was working on. I was zooming through it but then we went to Brasil for 3 weeks and I took no knitting with me... It took a while to get back to my rhythm after the hiatus but I've finally finished it!

{sewing} Another day, another dress...

Today I'm showing another dress. My favourite of all the ones I've made so far! This here be McCall's M7081 . It's got a gorgeous full skirt, there are pleats on the front of the bodice, a collar and a waistband. It opens with a concealed zip on the side. Isn't it a thing of beauty?!

{sewing} The (not quite) Silk Cami by Sew Over It

This is going to be a quick and dirty post, just to share a very simple but still great little project! The  Silk Cami  by Sew Over It. This is the first of the projects I made specifically to take to Brasil with me over Christmas. I used left over fabric from  this dress  I made for a wedding last year. Esse post vai ser pá-pum, só pra mostrar uma peça super simples mas muito fofa! É a  Silk Cami  da Sew Over It. Esse foi o primeiro projeto que eu fiz especificamente para levar pro Brasil comigo no Natal. Usei o tecido que tinha sobrado  desse vestido  que eu fiz para um casamento no ano passado.
